Edinburgh National Museum

December 12, 2011

Two friends and I decided to take a walk through the National Museum of Scotland

Dolly, the first clone.  She was made from a breast cell and named after Dolly Parton because we all know Ms Parton, besides being one of the best human beings in existence, is known for her huge... country songs

A very smart robot

This stone has been carved with Pictish symbols common in the 7th and 8th centuries.  The meaning is still unknown

The Pikeman on the left has the traditional armour and lobster tail helmet from the 17th century.  The second man's clothes are based on those found on a body discovered at Gunnister (Shetland) in the late 17th century.

Anyone recognize Baldric's catch phrase from Black Adder?

An Ichthyosaur (now extinct) which was able to see well in murky waters because of its large eyes
