The Day We Lost Due to a Time Change

Sept 21, 2011

No problems picking up our luggage and boarding the Picadilly Line although our bags were a wee bit heavy.  Only London can get away with having the word 'Cockfoster' announced repeatedly over the intercom without its passengers dissolving into giggles.  Got off the train at Gloucester (pr Glosster) and dragged our luggage to our hotel.  We met up with a fellow Canadian, in the lobby and took the tube to Shoreditch and walked around East London.  We went to an Afghani tea house and I highly recommend it - the tea was amazing as were the hummus and moussaka dishes that we ordered.  Took the tube to Green Park, walked to Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, and the London Eye.  There were a ton of runners and it wasn't raining, which apparently is an accomplishment for London.

I took this photo randomly and my friends on facebook kept finding new gems in it.  And... go
